– Carl A. Wray, 72 died at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 1964 of a heart ailment. He was born Mary 31, 1882 to Wilda J. and Carrie Bowers Wray. He was married Feb 24, 1918 to Chloe Doyel of Indianapolis. Mr. Wray was a member of New Market Christian Church where he had been a deacon, elder and trustee. He was also a member of the Modern Woodmen of America. Farmer most of his life. Attended Willow Grove HS and later business college. He was preceded in death by his wife and a brother. Surviving are a son, Shirl a daughter, Mrs. David Bonwell; 3 sisters Mrs. Morton Watkins; Lois Wray and Mrs. Earl McMahen and 4 grandchildren. Services were held at the Noble Reeves Funeral Home, New Market Rev Calvin Miller officiating; burial in Masonic Cemetery, Crawfordsville. - kbz
